Worship: Sanctuary Choir Member

Description

Using your gifts and talents to make a joyful noise! Active, regular participation in leading singing during Sunday worship and special services. 

Looking for:

• An enthusiasm for singing! 

• Reading music is not required but is helpful. Practice tracks are made available for use.

• Active, regular participation each Sunday

• Attend rehearsals, plus additional time on more complicated music pieces

Commitment

Weekly rehearsal (Thursdays 7:30 - 9:00 pm)

Approximately 2 hours each Sunday

Worship: Help with Communion

Description

Help prep or serve communion in any of the three worship services offered on Sundays.

Looking for people to:

• Shop for the elements.

• Prepare trasy and plates of the elements.

• Set up prior to service beginning Clean up after service.

• Serve communion.

Commitment

Approximately 1 hour per month. Communion is served weekly at 8:00 am, occasionally at 9:30 and one time per month at 10:30 

Worship: Lay Reader

Description

Using your gifts and talents to read scripture and give prayer in the traditional worship service.

Looking for people to:

• Are able to read with confidence and expression in front of congregation

• Willing to participate on a regular basis

Commitment

Practice at home to prepare for worship

Participate in worship about once every other month

Worship: Ambassadors

Description

Support worship logistics. Ensure that all attendees are greeted warmly; being inclusive and attentive to any special needs. Watch for visitors and newcomers and see if they have any questions or needs. Be responsive to staff needs as requested.

Looking for people to:

• Have a welcoming smile and a positive upbeat presence

• Ability to help set up and clean up worship space

• Attention to detail and a calm demeanor

Approximately, 2 hours - two or three Sundays per quarter
