Mission & Service: Red Barrel Food Donations

Description

Collect food to provide food to those in need
Placement of the red barrels into the courtyard areas and breezeway the first sunday of each month prior to worship services and put away after last service

Looking for:

• Ability to move the barrels into designated areas

• Ability to move full barrels back into main hallway

• Coordinate with offsite group to arrange for food pick up

Commitment

Thirty minutes once per month (first Sunday)

Mission & Service: Backpack Project

Description

Utilizing spiritual gifts of collaboration and helping, coordinate activities: liaison to Livermore School Backpack Board (LSBB), communicate FPCL project commitment to LSBB; work with staff to gain donations; coordinate church-wide packs loading day; transport packs to schools

Looking for:

• Kindness of heart

• A calling to equip children for school success

• Team-oriented leader and player

Commitment

Project is annual, running approximately five months leading up to the start of Fall school schedule. Email for further details.

Mission & Service: Rice & Beans

Description

Coordinate with organization that provides rice & beans to families to combat hunger. This includes coordinating the congregation's participating in bagging the items along with distribution in the community. 

Looking for:

• Kindness of heart

• Team-oriented leader and player

• Ability to coordinate quarterly projects for the congregation to participate in

• Ability to speak in front of large groups

Commitment

4 - 6 hours per project. Includes coordinating with supplier, accepting delivery, coordinating team to deliver bagged goods
