Rev. Dr. Jennifer Ackerman is Assistant Professor of Preaching and Director of the Brehm Preaching—Lloyd John Ogilvie Institute at Fuller Theological Seminary, where she equips leaders to proclaim the gospel through ministries of worship, preaching, and justice. Jennifer's approach to spiritual formation has been shaped not only by pastoral ministry and theological education, but also by a lifelong engagement with the arts. Before joining the Fuller faculty, she spent many years as a professional musician and musical theater actor, performing in theaters across the country. Jennifer holds a Master of Divinity and a PhD in Theology and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary. Whether teaching in the classroom, preaching in the pulpit, or leading workshops, she creates engaging, participatory experiences that invite people to encounter God with imagination, authenticity, and hope.
