Outreach Opportunities

FPCL’s Refugee Services Committee is back at work with Jewish Family Community Services East Bay (JFCSEB) to help support refugee families that have been resettled in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties! Four new families have arrived in the last month.  JFCSEB has set up two Amazon wish lists for those desiring to help. Due to contact free delivery safety protocols during the pandemic, the items ordered will be sent directly to the JFCSEB office for distribution. Both links are DIFFERENT and both contain an address from which you may request a donation receipt (in the info section). Click either link to help:

Diaper Drive: They are in desperate need of diapers! After adding an item(s) from the link below to your cart, proceed to checkout and choose Ami Dodson-Drive Coordinator’s Gift Registry Address to ensure the diapers are delivered directly to the person managing the diaper drive at JFCSEB. CLICK TO BUY

Household goods/electronic devices commonly needed by newcomer families: Proceed to checkout after adding the item(s) to your cart and choose Kathryn Winogura’s Gift Registry Address as the delivery address to ensure the order will go directly to the JFCSEB office to be distributed by those handling donations. CLICK TO BUY
Both Ami Dodson and Kathryn Winogura are JFCSEB managers with whom FPCL’s Refugee Services Committee have worked closely and they are trusted.

If you have a passion for serving and are interested in participating in a project, contact us - we would love to have your help.

Our Mission & Service Team responds to the reality that we are all called to serve. By prayerfully discerning opportunities for our members and friends to invest the resources of our time and our church’s money, the Mission and Service Team’s goal is to make a difference in our community and our world.  We support local, national and international agencies that provide services to people of all ages. Our team develops partnerships and opportunities to serve with local organizations as well as distributing funds from FPCL's Mission budget.

Our Mission is to support FPCL in the expression of faith through ministry and service to those in need within our community. We do this to live out our church's value that we are "not a place where, but a people who...". We organize direct service projects where those in our congregation can participate in helping others. Our work also supports established groups and organizations focusing on the homeless, working poor, and others needing a hand
