Our guest speaker is the Rev. Dr. Paul Nazarian who is currently serving as Senior Pastor of Northwoods Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 1984, and has served 21 years at Northwoods. Prior to that, he served 9 years at the First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, Louisiana. He also served as an Associate Pastor at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston; and at Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church in California. It was at Lafayette-Orinda where Paul was Steve Wilde’s Youth Pastor! Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors for San Francisco Theological Seminary and on the Board of Faith in Practice, which is a mission organization providing medical care for the people of Guatemala. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Davis, his Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. For fun, Paul is all in on Pickleball. He has also been trying to learn Español for the past 30 years! Paul and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 44 years. They have 2 grown children, and 7 grandchildren who fondly call him, “Chiefy.”
