Autumn Labyrinth Walk: Friday, October 27th from 7:00 – 8:30pm
As the days grow shorter and the abundance of our growing season slows, take time to remember what we can be grateful for in our lives and let go of whatever challenges we may be currently facing. Come for a moment of peace and walk with us! Because many expressed appreciation for last year’s special honoring table, we will again provide the opportunity to light candles for those who have passed on. All are welcome! Hope to see you there!
Guidelines for walking the labyrinth:
Quiet your mind and become aware of your breath and then start your walk. Allow yourself to walk at a pace that is comfortable for you.···
The path is two ways. Those going in will meet those coming out. You may pass people or let others step around you. This is easiest at theturns. Do what feels natural when you meet someone.···
The journey in allows you to release thoughts and distractions and let go of the details of life. You can open your heart and quiet your mind.···
When you reach the center, stay there as long as you like. It is a place for peace, meditation and prayer.···
The journey out prepares you for your re-entry into the world. You can integrate the experience of your walk into your daily life.
Each walk is different - you will hear different noises, feel a change of breeze or sunlight, walk alone or with others. Use anything you
experience as a metaphor for your life and your relationship with God.
